For what languages do you offer interpretation?
We specialize in Spanish and English languages only.

Who do you provide services for?  
We have customers in the medical field, including several hospitals and clinics across the United States. In addition, we provide our services to non-profit organizations and some private doctors’ offices.  SIA also provide services to other industries: finance, customer services, real state, banks and others.

How are your interpreters certified? 
Our interpreters are all graduates of 4-year University with bachelor’s degree in language, a one-year internship and are certified by the State.  In addition, each interpreter has undergone an intensive training program with our SIA Lead Training staff based on the National Interpretation Protocol to assure interpreter proficiency.  Our Principal trainers have worked previously with other recognized over-the-phone interpreting companies over 18 years.

What is over-the-phone interpretation?
Over-the-phone interpretation is the oral translation of a message from one language to another; in this case from Spanish to English and vice-versa. Our interpreters are available within seconds and work with our clients and the Spanish-speaking individuals to transmit a message.

How does telephone interpretation works?
There are three ways to reach an interpreter: 1) making a call to a Spanish speaker, 2) communicating face to face with a Spanish speaker, 3) receiving a call from a Spanish speaker. For detailed instructions, refer to our “User Protocol.”

What number do I dial for interpretation?
SIA can be reach trough our toll-free number 1(888) 815 4403 (which can be set for the speed dial feature in your phone), press option #1 to request an interpreter, and then enter your ID Number.

How long does it take to get an interpreter?
            SIA Interpreters are reached within ten seconds.

Do you monitor interpretation calls?
Yes, we monitor the calls randomly on a daily basis to make sure that our interpreters are providing accurate interpretation to our customers.           



Are your interpreters trained in the medical terminology?
Our interpreters have a degree in interpretation and are specialized in medical, insurance and financial terms. They undergo a rigorous five-year program to finish their studies and receive training before they start working for our company.

Can I obtain a report of the minutes used?
Yes, in addition of the invoices generated every month, a copy of the call records of the hospital is sent. If you want a detailed call description of the calls during the month, you can send an e-mail to: requesting such information.

Are all calls kept confidential?
Yes, our interpreters work under a strict Code of Ethics as well as following HIPAA* guidelines.
